Wilderness Unlimited has offered us this spectacular opportunity. Bidwell Ranch, near Burney, is a privately owned ranch with five crystal clear ponds that are fed by Lost Creek and home to native trout. Accommodations are campsites and inside toilet facilities. We will provide the hot showers with our pop-up showers. You are responsible for your food, fishing license and camping gear.
The five instructors are world-renowned and provide individual attention. This comprehensive workshop covers all of the basics of fly fishing: casting, reading the water, entomology, conservation, fly tying, knots, landing and releasing and plenty of hands-on practice. All fishing equipment will be provided. This workshop has room for both beginners and intermediates.

"Absolute fun, tranquility, and camaraderie are what I have found through fly-fishing.
After my initial attendance at a local fly-fishing club I felt a bit intimidated by my lack of knowledge and the lack of women. I was profoundly lucky when I found the BOW Bidwell Fly-fishing Clinic. I stuttered at first, but I stuck with the program.
The lessons the world’s most patient instructors taught me quietly repeating over and over in my head as I practice.
When I attend those club meetings now, I am greeted by name and asked for a fish report or to donate some of the flies I’ve learned to tie – also from a BOW instructor.
This program changed my life; I’ve found something that I needed in my life to balance the daily chaos and stress of being a working Mom.
Thank you, BOW and Wilderness Unlimited. Hope to see you next September.”
